Temecula Wine Country

Temecula Valley Wine Country extends an invitation to you to sample the many award-winning wines made available by our AMAZING local wineries while taking in the allure of our welcoming tasting rooms. While hours may vary, most vineyards welcome guests everyday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Temecula Valley is regarded as Riverside County’s “jewel” due to its rural setting, sustainable farming methods, and agricultural preserve known as the Citrus/Vineyard zone. The name Temecula comes from the Luiseño Indian word “Temecunga” – “temet” meaning “sun” and “-ngna” which means “place of”. The Spanish interpreted and spelled the word as “Temecula” translated to mean “Where the sun breaks through the mist”. The wineries  are conveniently situated just east of the I-15 freeway, and San Diego, Orange County, or the Palm Springs region may be reached within an hour by car. Your wine country trip will be simple thanks to the simplicity of access and proximity of each of our family-owned wineries to one another.

You can probably find whatever type of wine you’re looking for here! Wineries in the Temecula Valley grow and produce more than 50 distinct wine varietals, ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon to Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot to Mourvedre, Viognier to Chardonnay. We are known for our versatility. Along with fantastic wines, you’ll find outstanding winery dining establishments, cozy bed and breakfasts, lush resorts, magnificent gift shops, and lovely picnic areas.
